Agent Mission: Cryptid Hunt at Wild West Hackin’ Fest!

Agents, we have a case for you.

Sightings of multiple infosec cryptids have been reported at Wild West Hackin’ Fest 2023. As you may know cryptozoology is a part of your mission as an agent with the WWH:Files. We must investigate these sightings and document the findings. One cryptid is incredibly elusive, The Strandsquatch. They are said to always be in-motion, burning bridges that need to be burned, and ranting passionately. However, once spotted are kind and approachable. Agents that locate all 25 cryptids will receive a “special pin” and one of those agents will be selected to win a complimentary ticket to WWHF – Deadwood, 2024 and reimbursed travel expenses up to $1500.

Mission Details:

Use the case file book you received, read the descriptions of the cryptids, and locate them.

You can find the cryptids at each of our sponsor tables. Engage with the sponsors and get a stamp in your Cryptid Hunt casefile. Once you’ve received all 25 stamps locate Blue Bear. Blue Bear can often be found at the Black Hills Information Security table and the Registration table. They will give agents one last stamp showing the completion of the mission. These agents will receive a special glow in the dark enamel pin and a raffle ticket.

The raffle ticket will give agents that complete the mission a chance to win a complimentary ticket to WWHF – Deadwood, 2024 and reimbursed travel expenses up to $1500. The winner will be announced at closing ceremonies.
