What is Airport Con, you ask?
People coming to Wild West Hackin’ Fest have found that they are typically the majority of passengers on flights both in and out of the Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) when WWHF comes to town. As a result, the fun and games naturally extend themselves to RAP. Once someone referred to it as the “Airport Con,” a tradition was born and it continues to this day.
Ok, so what does Airport Con entail?
Mostly, it’s just an extension of the social aspect of the conference when people have a chance to catch up with friends, old and new, while waiting for a ride between RAP and Deadwood. The Wild West Hackin’ Fest welcome committee will greet you on Monday, Oct. 5th and Wednesday, Oct. 7th with snacks, bottled waters, coloring books, swag, and lots of smiles. Find them right next to the baggage claim area of the Rapid City Airport.
