Gerald Combs
Gerald is the original developer of the Wireshark open source project. Thanks to its dedicated community of users, developers, and educators, Wireshark is the world’s premier network protocol analyzer. He currently works at Sysdig as the Director of Open Source Projects, and is the lead developer of the Wireshark project Stratoshark projects. He is also the CFO of the Wireshark Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to network and systems education. In the past, he has worked as a consultant for firms in a variety of industries, ranging from telecommunications to pharmaceuticals to finance. He is the recipient of several awards for his work on the Wireshark project, including the ACM Software System Award, the ISSA Hall of Fame, and the UMKC Alumni Achievement Award.
